"What is a Special Event Center?"

Boji Bay Fun House Pavilion wants to be known as a “special” Special Events Center.
We want our Special Events Center to be known as a place that will work very hard on your Special Event to make it more special than any other special event you have ever been to.

As an example; if you are getting married and want to have a “patio party” for your pre-nup, we can stage the event on our 3,600 sq/ft second floor patio.  We will help you book one of the best caterers in the area if that is what you want.  You can choose from any caterer in the area based on your desires for quality, price and service.  We will take care of setting up the bar, food offering, music, lighting, gifts and any special requests you might have.  If your event is in the fall you might prefer having your event inside.  We can use the entire building for your event if that is what you want.  This could include catered food, Buffy style food offerings or custom chef cooking.  The Barrel Bar can be staffed and operated in any way you want.  The dance floor is available to all and seating in the entire building is also available.  You may want to have the bride and groom run through the barrel, slide the slide and play king of the hill in the sugar bowl.

If your event is business related etc we have enough room to set up special displays, booths, computer terminals, key-note speaker stage, and power point presentations and of course apple dunking contests.

We can host events like;

Conventions
National / State Wide Service Club gatherings
Weddings
Retreats
Banquets
Business Conferences
Fund Raisers
Speaking Engagements
Holiday Parties
Private Parties
Bus Tour gatherings
New Product launches
Graduations

"If I want a job when you open, what do I do?"

There will be employment and employment packages available most likely.

That is to say that;

  • During the three summer months we will need temporary help and may have job packages available that will involve hours of work and a place to stay at Boji Cribs:  www.bojicribs.com
  • There will be a few full time management jobs available based on how busy we are.

We will have applications “on-line” ……………COMING SOON

Why would you advertise a business that is not even open yet?

The Boji Bay Team felt that it would be appropriate to tell the Boji Bay story during the summer season of 2009 for the following reasons;

(1). Most vacationers come to the Iowa Great Lakes during the summer season.  If we don’t tell the story to the summer crowd during their visit this season, they may not be aware of the coming new attraction for 2010.

(2). As good corporate citizens we want to be true to one of our values & beliefs that state; “We must enhance the area with in which we operate”.  As the Iowa Great Lakes area has some of the best resorts, motels and tourist attractions in the entire Mid-West, we felt that if we could entice the visitors that come to the area this year to make their reservations for next year that – that would enhance all tourism in the Iowa Great Lakes area for the season of 2010.

(3). The advertising we are doing now might be more appropriately described as an “awareness campaign”.  We have had numerous requests for information about the construction site, and we felt that an awareness campaign would help answer questions.

(4). We are not the brightest light bulbs on the tree.
